Monday
Maths
Today we are working on finding the start and end times of events. Watch the video below and have a go at the first page of the worksheet. You could also try some of the second page too. If you are feeling really confident, try the challenge problems. Remember to look at a clock to help you count forward from a start time or back from an end time. You could also use numberlines to jump from one time to another.
English
Practise writing descriptive sentences using prepositions - see the sheet below.
Tuesday
Wednesday
English - Write an acrostic poem about Easter or Spring - where each line of your poem starts with a letter of the word. For example:
Eating chocolate eggs
Amazing flowers blooming
Sun is shining down
Time for an egg hunt!
Elaborate colourful eggs everywhere
Reading a book before bed, thinking about Easter
You could decorate your poem with a picture or a border.
As we will be finishing off pieces of work today in class, for a maths activity today, please choose an activity from Spring/Autumn days 1-3.
Please
practise your number formation
practise your number bonds for all numbers to 20
practise counting in steps of 2, 3, 5 and 10 from any number forwards and backwards
practise writing numbers to 100 in numerals and words
Roll a setting using the 'settings dice' to write a story. You might like to have a go at writing more than one story. Remember to plan your story first with a clear beginning, middle and ending. Does your story have a problem that can be solved? If you don't have access to a printer, just choose a setting that you like.
if you would like anything extra than you could:
Happy Easter! Draw or paint a spring picture. You could design your own Easter egg, draw some flowers, chicks or even the Easter bunny!
Please use days 1-3 for any maths or English activities you would like to do today.
