I am writing to confirm, that following the announcement from the Prime Minister this evening, Hatch Ride School will be closed to children from 15.15 on Friday and will remain closed until further notice. Breakfast and after school club will remain open on Friday as usual.
We will be making arrangements for vulnerable children (vulnerable children include those who have a social worker and those with Education, Health and Care Plans) and for the children of key workers, as outlined by the government. Details will follow once we have more information and clarification regarding these groups. I will be liaising with breakfast/ASC regarding potential provision for these groups.
We are asking that, if you are a Key Worker (NHS, Police, Supermarket delivery driver) please notify the school immediately by email email@example.com . We will require evidence demonstrating that you are in this category and ask that you inform us if you wish your child to remain in school during the closure period. This will aid us in planning for our provision.
If your child/children are entitled to free school meals due to being eligible for the Pupil Premium grant, you will receive separate correspondence giving you further details when we have further information ourselves. This does not include the universal free school meals given to all infant children.
With regards to KS1 and KS2 SATs examinations, these are cancelled and we await guidance from the Government and will update you on this as we know more.
We will be sending out additional information tomorrow which will outline our provision for learning at home during school closure.
Corvus Learning Trust has been informed by Bracknell Forest of confirmation from the DfE in relation to the Social Distancing measures for children who are at increased risk of severe illness from Covid-19. Please see other document for details.
This continues to be a fast moving and challenging situation. We will endeavour to send you further information as we receive it. As always, we appreciate your continued support and kind messages as we do our very best to navigate our school community through these unprecedented times.
